Wow you guys just jump all over crap before ya even know what the deal is. Bush said he wanted to know who the leak was and if they had broken any laws in leaking info he wanted them gone. Nothing found in the law Rove is being accused of breaking was violated. Even the co-author of the law said no law was broken.

Sheep...

Yeah. I guess undermining WMD counterespionage for political revenge in the middle of a war that was launched to protect us from WMDs is no big deal.

Time's email and Rove's own attorney identify Rove as the leaker.

Too bad Scotty McClellan already publicly claimed Rove was not involved and Bush pledged to fire the leaker (he did not pledge to fire someone after they were convicted - it would hardly make sense to expect to stay on staff while in prison).

Hell, I’m not even denying Rove was the leak. He broke no laws. The agent wasn’t undercover, wasn’t on assignment and it was not done to put the agent at danger (if I‘m not mistaken she was driving a frickin‘ desk). As I said, even the AUTHOR of the law said their was no violation. And if it was such a huge deal why was this lady and her husband posing for pictures in Vanity Fair? And as I also said, Bush said he would fire the leak if they had broken any laws. Paint it however you want but that’s what he said. Hey, I’m all for dragging this into court because there’s no fault here.

BTW- if we finally have the leaky source revealing for all to see, why is the NY Times reporter still sitting in jail for not revealing her source as Rove?

It’s nothing but an act of desperation by desperate people (meaning you and USA, not Crash or Ped). LOL!

On closer inspection, it appears that Bush actually said that the leaker would be "dealt with".

The way things work in this administration, I think that means old Karl is due for a Medal of Freedom.

I can't believe that if the wrong-doing involved a administration staff member that the NY Times would take a stand protecting their source. They would jump all over a chance to do ANY damage to the Bush administration.

Journalisting Intergity my butt. Now there is an oxymoron.

I'm not surprised. Republicans ruin people's lives daily, and Rove is no exception, eh's the norm. He'll get away with it, just like the nazi's got away with breaking the law and oppressing people. Fear and utter stupidity has allowed it in the past, and it will continue in the future. Republicans sew and nourish the seeds of fear and incompetance with every breath, for that is thier strategy to retain power. It's the only way they can retain power.

I love the way that according to Republicans Anan is accont for wrongdoing at the UN - yet Rumsfeld is not accountable for the torture of prisoners, lack of planning for Iraq invasion, being less than honest about WMDs - the list goes on.

Now it appears that Rove isn't accountable for leaking information that led to the identification of a CIA operative.

Why do the looney left always want to make the war about Abu Graib and Gitmo? The very fact that you would even try to equate the mass murder of 8,000 Muslims and panties on heads shows what a frickin’ moron you are.

Even though some of the treatment of prisoners is abusive but not as abusive as what some murdering maniacs have done, it may give some who may hold our young people prisoner the idea that it is OK to abuse our young people in kind or WORSE!!!!

This was the thinking behind treating German POWs very well 60-65 years ago.

They were holding our people too!!

Pretty wrong? Is roasting a 9 year old Sudanese boy over a fire "pretty wrong? Is raping and pillaging in the Congo "pretty wrong? Why do you in a time when your own countrymen are laying in a London Tube blown to bits, so all fired interested in making sure we remain all soft and gentle on the POWs?

MR. McCLELLAN: -- [...] The President has set high standards, the highest of standards for people in his administration. He's made it very clear to people in his administration that he expects them to adhere to the highest standards of conduct. If anyone in this administration was involved in it, they would no longer be in this administration.

I've been pretty busy lately so maybe I missed it, but the last I heard Karl Rove hadn't been found guilty & convicted of anything?

So what's this all about Violin? Are you the self-proclaimed judge & jury? Have you not heard of that old "innocent until proven guilty" adage?

So if you have all the info needed to convict him, can you share with us?
