I'm heading to Anza-Borrego over New Year's for a few days. I'm really looking forward to do some desert exploring. I'll bet the full moon will be nice out there. I'm going to explore Coyote Canyon and hike up to one of the peaks out there.

In January or February, I'm going to make a trip to Death Valley. I've only been to Death Valley once, so I have lots to see. Anyone else interested i a Death Valley trip?

Anza Borrego is a fun place to backpack in the winter. I usually play in the southern portion of the park closer to Carrizo Gorge. Lots of history out there (indian, pioneers, trains, military).

I'm planning on taking my family on their first backpacking trip in Anza Borrego on new years weekend. Should be fun carring the gear for four. What ever I gotta do to go camping with the family away from the campground.

Death Valley
I would be interested in Death Valley. I've been there 3 times in Jan/Feb. The weather is perfect for hiking at that time of year, though it can get quite cold at night and there is always the chance for snow in the upper elevations.
What are you thinking of doing? Day hikes, backpacking, or just exploring?

Death Valley
I'll probably be heading to Death Valley in March, just like last year, there's so much exploring to do there. I've also been interested in Anza-Borrego for some time, it's just too long of a drive for the time of the year I'd go.
