Hey, I'm doing it next summer. I hiked the JMT this past summer but found it way too easy. Plus the folks I hiked it with stupid hardcore republicans. They loved that stupid "lord of the Rings" #&%!$, too. and the guy, named steve, would try to crawl into my sleeping bag nekkid everynight. He was from Bakersfield or some looser place like that.

Now, what the f**k are you doing in my hangout, Mr. Davies? :)

Did you see IT yet?

Ok.....I bought the guide book for that, but haven't made plans for it yet. Let us know how it goes if you hike it.

"Hardcore Republican"
Confusing my nekked body with that of a 800 lb. black bear..What a compliment..Beaarrrrrrrr..That was so farkin funny. Be honest..you secretly hoped that it was me rustling at the base of your bag..So, tell me about Roper's...you think it'd be your cup O tea? My goal is to be out this whole summer, so this might be a perfect piece to the puzzle.

and to answer your f**cking question your the one who let me in on this well kept secret :)

The whole summer? Wow, do you plan on having Danny and Joel resupply you weekly? Is Karen going to allow you to be gone fer so long? Is Karen giving up hiking?

Dude, I spanked Faramir in DM2 this week. I bet he's pissed! I kick ass!!!

...and yeah, you can be my cup o' tea but you can't be my tea bagger. Keep away from me!!!!

Well, go to run. It's 10 o'clock and I haven't even bought a single gift yet. Got to hit the mall with a stop in Mall brewery and down a few schooners. I do my best shopping with a cool tastey buzz.

I hiked the Sierra crest from Tioga to Whitney about 30 years ago.

Tough in a few spots but overall an enjoyable trip.

Wow, 30 years ago! Considering the route is relatively low traffic nowadays it must of been extremely pristine back then. How long did it take you? You wouldn't happen to have a write-up of the hike on the web by chance? I'd dig hearing about it more.

Do you have Roper's book Mr. Pants? You get all your shopping done...along with the copious consumption of noxious fluids...

I don't have the book yet. I'll probably pick up a copy this week. I breezed through it at Borders just before our JMT hike and I liked it.

I saw a copy of it today in the Mountain Hardware Store nearby. Was checking out kayaks but that will have to wait for a bit.

Yeah, got the shopping done. Thank god for Hickory Farms and K-mart!!!
Shotgunned a sixer and then met the family to exchange and open gifts. We do it on x-mas eve so pop and I can sleep it off in the morning.

Oh, I received your card today. Who was the photographer? That guy sure has an eye for color!!! Just call me Galen Rowell or whatever his name is.

I still have the picture disks of the JMT packed in boxes. We had the carpets cleaned so everything was stored away and I've yet to unpack them. I'll get them to ya. Just calm down, Jerky.
