Several weekends and 2 week long trips in BSP, Isle au Haut, various Public Lands, some hikes in NH, and hopefully Canada. It's tough to fit it all in with only 5 weeks vacation!

i KNOW, right? that's what i'm sayin'! uMMM...eek! ;-) so guess what, they put all these signs up at intersections in DC saying "Don't Block the Box"...intending "don't block the way of other cars." i was doing errands with my boss the other day, and she pointed out the "other" meaning...LMAO!! :-D

I know what you mean Twigeater - fortunately I get my 6th week of vac. in 2002 but I am still not sure it will be enough especially if I choose to go to Montanapoluza (sp?) and take another week to wander around Yellowstone before driving back to Virginia - that is almost 4 weeks right there.

HOI - in 2 years when I hit 20 years, I get my last bump of 3 days/year. I try to stretch my time by making long weekends out of Monday holidays, avoiding the major traffic ones like Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day if I can. I have annual trips that my nephews and grandkids count on (lots of great fun) but I have to budget my time carefully so I get in stuff I want to do by myself.
I gotta learn to call in sick!

Goodness twiggy, with all that vacation they should just ask you to call when you feel like coming in!

Not much planned so far. I am going to try to go on one of Mel's trips. I have a Grand Canyon hike this weekend and another one in April. Colorado in July for a wedding--probably no hiking. Pathman is taking us somewhere in New Mexico in Sept.

As of this moment my tentative plans are.... March-(3 days) in Henry Coe State Park, April-(5-7 days) in the Ventana Wilderness, May-(5-7 days) in Yolla Bolly Wilderness, June-(4-7 days) in Emmigrant Wilderness, July-(30 days) Roper's High Sierra Route.

If I'm not burned out by then I will likely hit the Marble Mtns or Trinities to wrap up the summer backpacking season.
