I'm curious if any Canadians out there can help me. Where does a person go to look for locations of crown land? I know dispersed camping is allowed and I'd like to see what might be available in Ontario. Are there plat books? Or good atlases? Thanks for the help.

Oh, and Happy Boxing Day!

I thought this was going to be a thread about Crown Royal. I'm so disappointed.

reformed lurker- you will probably want to try and find the Ontario Gov't web site, to start. Lands and parks, in Canada generally fall under the jurisdiction of the Provincial Ministries.

In B.C., If it's not a Provincial Park, National Park, native reservation, or privately owned, I just assume that it's "crown land". Much of this area is then licensed to industry, for forestry, mining etc. Access will depend on the usage of the land.
