AZ suggestions for Jan. “Hey everyone, I just decided to make use of my winter break and I was thinking about going to Arizona next week. I've never posted here before, but I'm hoping somebody here could help me out. I could stand to kill 5-6 days and I'd like to stay in the lower elevations to avoid the snow. National Parks are out. Anyways, I just started thinking about it so if anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them. Thanks.” 2:50:08 AM 12/27/01 “Paria canyon” 3:06:33 PM 12/27/01 “what? Paria canyon? blah blah blah blah blah blah Blah BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH blah blah blah blah blah Is this a troll? cause I'm on vacation here, so if the info is not really going to be used, I'd rather not type it” 3:11:55 PM 12/27/01 “There's snow in AZ?” 3:32:31 PM 12/27/01 “Hello? Humphrey's peak is 11,000+ feet. yes there's snow in AZ newgirl, you need to get out a little more” 3:34:56 PM 12/27/01 “akiak, OK. Here's where to go in AZ and avoid snow: 1. Palm Canyon--totally cool and no one knows about it. Has the only native palm trees in the state. Do you climb? 2. Eagle Tail Wilderness area--again, assuming you want to get AWAY from people. I saw more wildlife here in one weekend than ANY other place I've been to in the state... 3. Devils Canyon (Upper and Lower)--besides hiking, nice bouldering and climbing spots 4. Aravapai (sp) Canyon--I haven't been there, but I heard it's rugged and wild 5. The Sierra Anchas--buy a guide before you go, there's tons of indian ruins back there 6. Buckskin Gulch--one of the prettiest areas in the state. It's a ravine though, so the skies have to be clear before you set off to go hiking (or else you will be wisked away in a flash flood) shoot, I can think of a million places to go...” 3:41:10 PM 12/27/01 “Awsome, thanks Biz! In response to your questions... no, I don't think I'm a troll, I'm of average height and, well, my mom told me I was pretty once. I'm a beginning climber, but all I'm gonna do on this trip is hike. Just doing some last minute planning and you gave me a good start, thanks a ton, I'll let you know how it goes!” 9:01:15 PM 12/27/01 “Biz, drop me an e-mail, please.” 9:11:46 PM 12/27/01
