“Hey Kodiakman (or anyone else), I just learned that I'm picking up respnsibility for Alaska at work. This means some business trips (first one in Feb to Anchorage). I'm jazzed...thinking I can plan some personal time while there on biz.

Can you give me some tips on where to hike / places to see? Thanks”

“I have never hiked in Anchorage. I know that there are some good trails but I have have a chance to get down there way. I'm sure that if you went to into REI there that they would hook a brother up.”

“Here is a start. Hiking in Feb would be tough, but there is some great XC skiing, even in town. After breakup, the Girdwood area has some great trails.
