“My 8-year-old son opened a Christmas gift that had been wrapped in a shoe-box. As he opened the box he read the text, such and such boots, whatever it was, then opened the box and pulled out a desired toy.

A few seconds later he let out a big sigh and said, "That was scary.... I thought I was getting boots!"”

We took Newergirl to see Santa. The little kids had to sing to get Santa to show-up. Newergirl wasn't shy at all, she was standing in the middle of all the kids bobbing her head, dancing, and singing (loud) "e, i, e, i , oooo." She knows "Old McDonald" and she thinks every song is that one. It was very funny.”

“Ok, I think how cute this is depends on your perspective. It's definitely funny to watch. We have a luncheon counter between the kitchen and the family room. It has stools along it and that's usually where we eat. The little cat (she's full grown but very small) likes to get a good long running start, jump up on the farthest stool and jump quickly from stool to stool. She seems to put extra effort into knocking each one over as she jumps off of it. When she gets to the end of the counter, she slides across it knocking everything off (usually just mail) and goes flying off the other side. She lands in the middle of the kitchen floor, usually still sliding but there is often tumbling involved at this point. If she doesn't slam into the end of the cupboards on the far wall she runs through the open door, through the laundry room, and into my son's room where she hides under the bed. She must derive some kind of entertainment value from this because she does it nearly every day. I think it's cute that she's an adrenaline junky.”

“LOL, Fritz, we had a similar situation with a toaster box and the nine year old! We also got a backetball hoop and pole for the girls. When they opened the box, they yelled, "Hey Dad, Santa got you a present!" We just shook our heads.”
