Savage Gulf in February

Day 2- Hobbs down the Connector with a side trip and back to Cator Historic site & back then up the Stage Road to Stage Road Camp. 7.9 miles. Kinda Tough

Day 3- Stage Road Camp back out 6.0 miles. Easy."”

“Put me in as a definite maybe. I definitely want to and maybe I'll be able to.”

“Do we have to see Buddha Bear's bare ass if we go? Cause I sort like the mental image I have of him now.”

The first day is a 8.5 mile walk into Hobbs Cabin. We'll start that morning sometime (No time set yet).
The park service really frowns on night hiking.

“Is there any kind of option for hiking in and meeting up for people who have to come in after work Friday? Can they start from somewhere Saturday morning and still end up with the group?”

“Not really unless you want to come in on the South Rim and meet us at camp. That will be the way we'll be hiking out on Sunday though.”

“What's the camping situation like there for anyone coming in Thursday evening and camping over Thursday night? I think as long as the drive is, that would be the only way I could start out Friday morning with the rest of you.”

“There is a camp site just behind the Ranger Station for late arrivals”

“Yeah, I've got a map. I'm looking it over now. Thanks.”

“I still don't know for sure whether I'll be there or not. It depends on whether I'll be able to drive down Thursday.
