My divorce present
Not that anyone on here really cares I just have to tell some one. I have always wanted to play the guitar so I went into to town and bough a new fender Acoustic guitar. Does anyone take one with them when they go car camping?

Best Present You'll Ever Give Yourself
Good for you, Mr.kodiakman. You'll derive so much enjoyment out it. I learned to play a little when an old girlfriend got me one for my birthday. I never took lessons and I never got really good. But I can play a little, and that's enought to make me happy.

I bought a banjo last August and have been learning it from a Mel Bay "Teach Yourself..." book and I'm diggin' it to no end. I've always wanted one. In a couple of years I hope to be jamming.

Bela Fleck better Watch Out, *GRIN*

It's great to have some live music when you're camping, just be careful around music critics and open flame.

I wish you the best with it Kodiak. Some folks apparently bring guitars with them when they backpack, or so I hear...

At the tender age of 41, I have just started piano lessons, which I have always wanted to do.

Later on I want to learn to play guitar, saxaphone, and flute. Then clarinet, violin (no, not that Violin) and ...

music in the woods
congrats Kodiakman. There is nothing better than bringing music to the woods and the spirits in the forest. I play native american flute and truely enjoy making music in the woods, especially when there are no other sounds other than the ones God makes...you will too. May the spirits smile down on you.

I took a bass guitar (B.C. Rich) to Fall Creek Falls SP here in Tennessee once just to thump around on it. BTW, I was car (ick) camping at the time. That was long ago.
