I've posted some photos of petroglyphs from Petroglyphs National Monument

I also went on a scramble up Waterfall Canyon on the west face of the Sandias this weekend. I couldn't go far that day because I was on call. The trailhead is only 15 minutes from my house. There had been some light snow recently, so the foothills were beautiful, but the rocks were pretty slick. The waterfall isn't very big, but considering most people think the west face is dry, its a nice visit. This time of year it is frozen.

The scrambling was great. I need to do more of it. Great upper body workout! Great views of some of the more prominent rock formations. I was also treated to a great sunset. Forgive the "documentary" shots, they are for a trip I am planning for Oct. Anybody interested? Most of those so far are from another forum. Contact me if you'd like to know more.

Pathman, looks like a great place. I will have to put this on my list of "wannado's".

The trailhead is 15 minutes from you? That is terrific. Great pictures. Very pretty area.

Yep, 15 minutes driving. I'd rather I could walk out my back door. 30 minutes on a bike.
