More trips, More places, More people.
It's been a long dry spell with no trips for the Hobbit, and this year I resolve to get out more, visiting more new places, and hopefully more people. One of my goals is to photograph Yosemite, which brings to mind Mel. Another one is the Pacific Northwest, particularly Olympic National Park.

I work 4 tens every week as an electrician for a large aerospace/defense company, then drive anywhere from 1200-2400 miles almost every weekend hauling freight for a trucking company a friend owns. This hasn't left a lot of time for backpacking, but I resolve to MAKE more time for it. Now all I have to do is get my knees back.

Hobbit, bud, I wondered where you'd been!!

Hey, you need to check out www.usefilm.com
There's a good chat there I'm in on occasion. A few of us have been talking about a Utah photo trip, maybe in March?? I don't know that I can make it due to work, but am defnitely keeping it "on the radar."

Hope you had a good holiday season. And what's up with your knees??

It's called "old age" I'm afraid. I'm just gettin' past a bout with grave's disease, and hopefully when they get that under control, my joints will get back to normal too.

Don't forget to call me when you come out this way. I can show you some AWESOME stuff for your portfolio

I'll check out the film site. Ciao

Good resolutions
Sounds like you might be burning the candle at both ends, also.
My wife had a fight with Graves disease, also, and I'm glad to tell you that she is doing better than ever, now. Please accept all of the encouragement I can convey over the internet. Folks here enjoy reading your posts and we benefit from all you have done in the past.
I hope you soak in all of the natural beauty you can absorb in 2002.

Good to hear from you hobbit. The only thing to get those creeky knees going is some trail time. I'm looking forward to viewing some trip reports!

Hobbit - Good to hear from you. Hope you improve and get out on the trail like you want. Yosemite is a great place to start...if you can avoid the crowds.

Yeah, Hobbit. Best of luck to you. When you start hiking again, give me a holler. I haven't done much in northern Utah.

Hey, mediaman. Do you want info on the potential photo trip, too? You should also check out that site I mentioned, www.usefilm.com
