“The best route from Challis, ID to Billings skirts west of YNP. To Cooke City is a different story, tho. I don't think I could stand to drive past The Teets PLUS through Yellowstone knowing I wouldn't be able to stop and smell the roses. I'd still stay west enroute to Cooke City. It will still be a great drive. I'm not neccessarily about saving miles or time. Spending time in the Tacoma is major part of my roadtrips...

Here's another lesson on "relax-packing": on the way in stop and take a look at the mountian, walk 10 feet and stop and look at the trees, 10 more feet stop and look at the flowers. There's always something to look at.
Then on the way out, when your left foot hits the ground say "Burger", and when your right foot hits say "Beer".
