I know Bpbaby had the Zoid and loved it, I bought her REI Sololite (3 lbs) and have no regrets.

For me, having room to sit up and change, good ventilation and vestible space are all assets.

I imagine you have your own list of "must haves" as well. Some of those other tents you mentioned are nice but pricey. Someone on the women's hiker list said there's a website where you can buy the patterns and make your own tents.

Are you feeling ambitious this winter? Maybe you could start a side business in Montana during the cold months when y'all are just dreaming about b-packing?? LOL

Unfortunately, Malinda (Weezer) isn't quite as thrilled. We hiked into Quinnebaugh Meadows yesterday and the sign at the trailhead said it was 5 miles (10 roundtrip). Topo came up with 9. She insists it was 10 and she has the sore muscles to prove it. ;-)”

“Yeah, I guess you would have to say the TOPO! mileage is probably plus or minus 10%, which would make a 9-mile measurement 8.1-9.9 miles. I have found that if anything it underestimates a bit. Of course, it could be operator error....”
