It was a "cultural experience." Not Mexican culture, of course, but American culture - 90% of the guests were American from all over the US. We were at a somewhat isolated resort about a 10 minute drive south of the "hotel zone" here. Didn't get to Tulum, but we did take a tour to Chichen Itza and went on a really fun snorkeling tour.
