Try the search feature to this site...There is a wealth of info here...it's just camouflaged between all the Religion, politic, gun, cell phone and BS threads. You can find answers to most of your questions this way but if you don't ....then by all means ask.

If you do a search for... tarps, bear cannisters, stoves, etc, etc. You will find many posts on those subjects... that should help you out.
