BACKGROUND!!!
Hey Matt! Is there any way we can have the background color changed? Its killing my eyes. How many others dislike the background?

It is a little bright... but I can tolerate it.

I did prefer the green background.

I will say things seem to be moving more quickly these days.

I keep the brightness on my monitor at 60% and the contrast at 100%. That seems pretty comfy to me, and the change to a white background didn't bother me too much.

Actually I color correct my monitors for gamma and get them as press-safe as I can.

It's not harsh at all to me.

You will have to buy a blue card to correct gamma.

Geeklish. Great. Now we need a humanpackmule decoder ring. Will it never end?

no decoder rings needed skully, you only need to go to the translation page.

It's just a shame it doesn't have a Geeklish to English option.

Sorry Skully. I work as a designer and I used to work in printing. It was necessary to adjust your monitor as close as you could to what comes off the press to help ensure accuracy and consistency.

Ok, just calm down everyone. It has only been a little over a month since "the big change". And since then, the traffic throughout the site and on TT has increased by a good percentage. So just hold out a little longer and see if it grows on you.

I like the White background myself. My only gripe is the fonts are too small.

Nevermind, I was just shown how to go to the settings and make the fonts bigger on everything. Much easier on the eyes!

The background...;)
Lakes and mountains and cool green trees would look cool...:)

My eye doctor told me to reduce my visits to TT because the blinding white background is harmful to my eyes.

I wish Matt would tell us why he's resisting all the requests to return to green or at least make it an option we can choose individually.

It hasn`t grown on me yet, I still can`t stand it. I also don`t like the fact that you can only go back one month and look for a thread. Matt doesn`t care much for this kind of thread, it goes against his plans....

Righto, Big Foot, sometimes I wanted to go back a year for a thread.

Guys, it doesn't say in on the search options, but Matt has changed the search to automatically go back 999 days which is what it was in the old format.

Skully, it`ll go back that far if you can remember the title of a thread, but it won`t pull all the threads up for that far back just to let you look at `em will it?
Big Foot

No, I don't think you can browse that far back. If you can remember part of the thread title you can still search on it.

Thanks Skully, I didn`t think so... I knew if it would I didn`t know how to do it!LOL
