I could be completely wrong here, but I think I may have been the one to start the whole hottie word-use phenomen (sp?). Phil asked on another thread where this started. The actual use of the word in the real world probably started sometime back (I think my 42 yr. old mom originated it's usage, that being sometime back). It's usage in the virtual TT world may very well have started w/ me though. I usually refer to a fine-a$$ man as a "hottie." Can anyone verify this? I'm not much for thread searches, so . . . Just thinking.

Okay, we have est. the real world beginning usage point as the post valley girl era (Rad knows because he is a valley girl). Now we need to est. the TT virtual world usage beginning point.

Okay, Chili36 has definitely est. that "hottie" usage goes a great many yrs. back (even before Rad became a valley girl). Bacpac has made the claim that he is the orginiator of "skeezer." Now, can someone plse. help me find out if I am the first ever to post the word "hottie" on TT?!

Chili, I'm just givin' you a bad time.

Pathman, I'm just wondering. Could it be me who started this? Am I the woman who set the standard for the use of the word hottie when refering to a good-looking member of the opposite sex? Do I get a Noble for this?

Limp, sorry, no pic. My mom is happily married to a man that was probably born before they invented color.

Actually, in looking for a good pseudo-naming description for good looking girls and guys, the term is derived from the specialty at Hotties -- The Original Hot Hot Hot Donuts.

Yes, it's true. Most folks believe they are superior in taste to The KK (Krispy Kreme Doughnuts), and are made from a secret recipe that has been around since 1937.

So when you call a guy a 'hottie' -- you are actually comparing them to a sweet treat with nothing but air inside.

*snickers, thinking this is about as abstract as it gets*

exactly!!..

"Hotties are southern grease-fried ZEROS, And they drive a 'Torus'"

that is a WASTE of a domain name, but it don't take long to search Yahoo, and you find some OTHER sites that are more of what you expect.

I think its a derivation of "haughty," a word used to describe a proud person or one "full of themselves."
