camp makes aluminum instep crampons (or well if they ever come into stock) that are very sweet. if you only use crampons once in a while and odds are they might never be used on most trips then this is the way to go... ultralight 6 pointer insteps, but the price you pay for aluminum is that on mixed rock/ice or intermittent conditions (where there are many transitions from the ice) the crampons will dull quickly. it's a good application for chromoly or the like if you can take the weight.

Yes Ewker. They are a Deutsch company that makes cutlery, tools and maountaineering stuff. It looks like the same concept (crampon w/ shorter spikes and a leaf spring conecting the two pieces for flexibilty). But, try and find their website. It takes awhile and then try and find out where they're made or what kind of warrenty they have. If you manage, good on you. I couldn't find the information.
