“Financials? There are no financials. Because of the plummet in ad spending, I am just scraping to break even. Oh the day when I can do this full-time......”

“I still need to figure out about the photo album thingy. The software would not be hard to do, it is the extra hardware that might be needed. My hard drive is only so big, so I can only allot a certain amount for the photo albums. If people are wanting 20 - 50 megs a piece, that fills up the hard drive really quickly. So I either have to get a new hard drive or reduce the size allotment per user. Basically I need to figure out how many people would actually use it, how much space should everyone get, and what is a reasonable price.”

Just look at what the other sites are charging per meg, take the median and adjust it until the price offsets your time, software and hardware outlays. Post the price and details and see how mwny folks sign up. If you don't get enough response (wich I don't think will be a problem) then all you are out is research time.

Heck an Access DB would do the job just fine but you probably are running something like sequel. (haven't checked)

Be sure to factor in a CD burn fee to be able to return folks' images if you choose to disable the feature in the future. It is a very sound business practice to draw up "divorce" papers before you get going.”
