“Okay, now I know I'm going to do some deluxe camping with Birch someday at a campsite where he can serve those ribs. I love marinated meat where mustard and good wine have been involved. And when you grow up in Michigan, as I did, apple cider is just a natural part of the picture.”

Normally I put red wine and minced garlic in the water pan also. Sometimes I cut up a few apples and throw them in too.”

“Ribs are on right now!!! Trying something new based on what Birch does. Didn't have any apple juice around but did have a can of "cran-grape" juice concentrate, so I am using that in the pan with water. I usually use wine, so it sounded reasonable and my wife agreed.

Just got the artichokes on the stove...they take a while also.

“I cook them in water with lemon juice in it to preserve color.

I dip mine in mayonnaise. I've tried lots of things, but I love mayonnaise (around our house a "dead soldier" is an empy jar of mayonnaise).

What do you use? (There is always room to experiment!).”

“Drawn butter with lemon juice & just a wisp of white pepper mixed in.
Try some dill with the mayo.
Sounds great we had chicken pot pies....”
