“I'd better crow while I can. Bama is ranked AHEAD of Duke, North Carolina, and KANSAS in the current AP poll. Now for a dose of reality. This is the highest we have ever been ranked. We attained a #3 ranking in 1977 to go along with the current #3.”

“So far, the basketball season looks as whacky as the football season. I don't know what to think based on the games so far. Nobody goes undefeated, we do know that, but beyond that it's going to be a wild season. I just hope Kansas gets back to their winning ways. We played a chump team last night which proved nothing. We play Oregon next. Now, that game should tell us a lot about how the Jayhawks are going to do this season.

“I'm excited...they had basketball tickets available at work..you had to put your name for the ones you were interested in yaddie yaddie yaddie...well..hubby is a big Carolina fan so being a good wife I put in for UNC & FL State and UNC & Maryland, UNC & Wake Forest and then I like Clemson so I put in for Wake & Clemson!!! Well, they had to draw names on all the other games and of course I didn't win them BUT..no one else wanted to see Wake and Clemson so I get all four tickets!!! Hubby isn't too happy he hates Clemson and says he isn't driving 2 hours to see them but heck they are free and I said I would take the kids and he could stay home. I've never been to a college game so this will be fun regardless.”

“Nope Geezr..to be honest I don't watch it alot on TV..I catch the Hurricanes ever now and then. We had a semi pro team here and it went bankrupt :-( I was really getting into that! It seemed to be a faster pace and a bit more physical. LOL I stil were my "Give Blood Play Hockey" shirt with pride though!”

I have a good friend who grew up in Calgary and has tried for 17 years to make a hockey fan out of me. It really makes a difference what you grew up with, because he could care less about baseball.”
