Uhm, (1/2, in the above post) is not one half,,,,,

one or two seeds for those of you who need help with that

The Jayhawks look like 1/2 of a seed right now. Check in later in the season.

Bama is looking like about an 18th seed.

Hey, Dayhiker, the Jayhawks wore their CRIMSON jerseys in their last game. Look for more of that as the season goes on.

If the Lobos don't do their job on this road trip, their only chance will be to take the MWC tournament.

I don't see the ACC doing it. Duke was really the only team that would realistically have a shot, because they have tournament experience, and naturally Kryziewsky has ice in his veins tourney time. I see UK winning the first round, then losing to someone like Texas Tech or something. Miss St. always fails to meet expectations, although I like to see SEC teams do well.

On, on, U of K
We had our moments of doubt, but managed to get the W.
Hey Dunny, looks like Kansas took a page out of our book, blowing a good lead and then pulling it out at the last second.

Well... losing the most important game of the season 76-44 has that effect on me. For some reason, I don't hold out much hope for them winning the Big East conference and getting an automatic bid.

Still, the season has been much better than expected and we have a bunch of very talented freshman and what looks to be a good recruiting season so...

See ya in the NIT.

I'm not being sarcastic when I say the NIT used to be the tournament to brag about. Better the NIT than nothing at all.

It sickens me to share that I "remember" when the NIT was the premier tournament. Another sickening thought is remembering when Lenny Wilkins played for Providence. However, I am not so old that I remember Dickie V with hair.

But we still have Louisville and Cincy on the road.

Arkansas actually beat a ranked team. If they can win 2 out of our last 3 they will make the NIT.

KU wins two in a row. (NOTE! AT HOME) Tonight will separate the pretend KU team from the real KU team when they travel to Tejas. I know they CAN do it.
The Bama boys looked good.
Keep on winning, Stanford. Can't wait to see what happens to them as a #1 seed in the tournament.
Violin, I was looking forward to the Scarlet Knight/Jayhawk matchup. Well, maybe next year.
How about that Cincy/Louisville game?

If Bama can beat Auburn on Tues night, Ark at Ark and Ole Siss at T-town then they'll finish at 8-8 in conference and have the number one rated schedule. I feel like that'll get them in the NCAA.

However, Crimson looks better with Blue!

ESPN has Bama versus Kansas in the dreaded 5/12 slot in the South. RPI doesn't have Bama in the tourney but has them as ranked about #25 while Georgia gets in with basically the same W/L record and #40 ranking.

Dunadan, I'm with you. Orange and blue sucks in all it's various shades. The Auburn and Florida varieties are particularly nausceous. I can't spell this morning but you get my point.

Did anyone see the Bama/Auburn game on ESPN Tuesday night. That was a great game. Both sides played hard. It was one of those where no one deserves to lose.

Hey Geo, what is RI's record? This may be the only competition they have faced this year.

I don't know what to think of St Joe's. Have they played anyone ranked this year?

St. Joe's
They beat the Zags, 73-66. They already defeated RI once. They beat U-Mass last night by 25 points, and have been averaging 17 points over opponents.

I'm looking forward to seeing what they do in The Dance. Jameer Nelson is something else, and Delonte West is not half-bad, either. Lots of savvy and on-court presence.

Hey, boys and girls, did you get a chance to see the Jayhawks play on Sunday? They put together a masterful game. Now, can they take this show on the road, (Missouri)????
St. Johns still has only one loss. Let's see what they do in the tournament.
Stanford is still lining up for the big fall.
LSU gave Kaintuck a good game.

Oh yes, did good. But the Tigers are really getting it together. That will be a great game. The Mizzou Alums and the KU Alums are getting together to have a watch party. By the way, let us win. We really need it or we might not make the big dance. Good luck it WILL be a great game. Go Tigers!!!

I just got back from bping an extended weekend, so I didn't see any of the games. Damn, I've got to get Tivo. I do know that Illinois won again. Two more road games, then the Big 10 tournament. If they win out, I'm hoping for a 3 seed.

So, when is Stanford going to lose?

Hey Dunadan, I think you mean St. Joes. It seems they did barely squeak out a win this weekend. They may be the biggest question mark in the tournament.

Top 25 losers this weekend were Pitt and Memphis (sorry Chili).

Oh my gosh, I fauxed my pas. I looked at the St. John's score and immediately registered St. Joe's. Thankyou for the correction, Hubcap. It might keep me from embarrassing myself in the future.
Stanford is going to make history by being the first #1 seed to lose in the first round. That is, if they don't lose to Washington first. With one loss, they will do better in the tournament.
BTW, Josh Childress was a hair's width away from coming to KU.

Bama is coming on strong. They've won 3 in a row and have 2 remaining. We have to play at Fayetteville on Wed and then against Miss State at T-town on Sat. If we can split these games then I feel we're in the tourney. That would put us in the top 25 rpi and have the #1 rated strength of schedule. The record ain't pretty, but we'll get in.

Memphis couldn't quite get it done against Louisville. Of course, I don't many teams that can when they give up the ball that many times.

Just a minor setback. March is here folks.

Stanford's been doing pretty well with Josh's hair the way it is, so don't look for him to change it any time soon!

Hate to look ahead, but word is that the game vs. Washington may be the toughest thus far. UW is hot, and the game is there. Sure wish Dun would stop saying all this stuff about losing in the first round....

Every week I breathe a sigh of relief to NOT see Stanford on the cover of Sports Illustrated....

Illinois wins in overtime at Purdue, clinches at least a share of the B10 title.

GT goes to Durham and breaks Puke's 41 game home winning streak.

It's been a good evening of basketball.
