“I'm happy to say that KU started out the exhibition season with a blowout over the EA Sports team. I only mention this because the same team beat Kansas State and took Missouri to overtime.
Another note: KU ranked #2, Oklahoma ranked #3, and Texas ranked #4 in the nation by the AP. (Sooners #1 by ESPN) I hope the Big 12 stays this strong through the season.”

By the way, Arc et al. The Big 12 will be the premiere conference in basketball this season. We are just getting our losses our of our systems early in the season.

But freshmen Matt Walsh and Anthony Roberson are both having phenomenal starts. When the three injured players return, Florida can go, a very talented, 11 deep. Let’s see how the team chemistry is this year. Helllllllooooo Kansas.”

“Lobos won last night, but couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. One of our senior guards was taken off the court on a back board with a spinal cord injury. He can't feel his feet 24 hours later. He was temporarily quadriplegic.

First game they couldn't hit a free throw against Cal, this game they were 12/14 from the line.

Against Cal they were hot on the three pointers, only 13% in the second game.

Its their first year with the coach, and a young team. Only time will tell if they can get the Pit to a full roar.”

“Yessir Mr. Dunadan, that should be some game, assuming we can both pull off one more win.

Florida did not do well against elite programs last year and Stanford may be like Arizona was last year. Arizona was unranked until they beat Maryland and then Florida to win the Coaches vs. Cancer tournament. They went from unranked to being in the top five.

Stanford may be a sleeper team. I don't believe that Florida will overlook them. The team chemistry seems to be very good but Florida is a relatively young team. The two starting freshmen are making a BIG impact. Freshman Matt Walsh was named national player of the week after scoring 26, 20, and 19 points in his last three games. Freshman Anthony Robertson was not too far behind with 13, 20, and 26 points.

Of course the sports hacks will probably pick up and run with a bad blood article about how Kansas tried to get the NCAA to investigate Florida after Donovan took Mike Miller out from under them. Some folks in Kansas haven't forgiven us for that yet.

This year's early recruits include a guy from Washington State. Donovan is one amazing recruiter.

“Well, some things work out for the better. All in all, I would say that Miller was more of a bust than a blue-chipper.
We have a great recruiting class coming in next year to compliment a very strong current sophomore class. Roy takes Padgett out of Reno, Nev., Wilkes out of LA, (basketball fans will recognize that name), Mr. Basketball out from under the nose of Kelvin Sampson in Oklahoma, and another strong player out of Oklahoma. Roy felt so good about the recruiting, he is holding on to his remaining scholarship unless some real super star surfaces.

On a (mildly) positive side, we know what is wrong with our team. 1.We only have one legitimate three point shooter and he was injured for the last two games. 2. We have zero help off of the bench. 3. We came out with no intensity for both games and wondered why we were getting the carp beat out of us. 4. Are we getting slower on the perimiter? If so, every team is going to play us like NC and Fla did.

“My 11 year old got to be the "ball hawg" for the razorbacks game today! you know, the kids who wipe up sweat during timeouts...throw in the ball to the ref. it was GREAT. i got seats right behind him, on the 2nd row. he had the time of his life. he sat next to the cheerleaders the whole game!”
