The Tuscaloosa News sports editor nailed it when he said that we'd have more talent next year, but first we'll have to undergo a heart translplant. Pettway is the hear of this team and he'll be missed.

I didn't think the Jayhawks would get as far as they did. Everyone knew that GT wins ugly. However, that was as dissatisfying game as I've ever watched. KU didn't play well for even 5 minutes at a stretch, and while the reffing wasn't too bad, the Jayhawks got some bad calls at some crucial moments. It looked like they could never get in sinc.
I am glad that Kansas doesn't have to play OK St again.
UConn must win it all, now.”

I like the Geology Museum open house on the last Satuday of January. It's great.

So, in a backhanded sort of way, I do have a Tomato U connection.

They have quite a few distinguished alumni among geologists, anthropologists, and geophysicists. I've heard quite a few very interesting lectures there, including Walter Pitman this past January.”
