Jeeze - with all the posts arclite has made about other's sportsmanship, I figured he'd race to this thread to congratulate chili.

Congratulations Chili and Smokeygirl. It’s too bad Tennessee can’t play like that all the time. They completely destroyed the Gators and looked very good doing it.

I feel just horrible that I haven't lived up to violin's expectations. Some of that “liberal” codependence must be rubbing off on me. Imagine not rushing to this thread to congratulate my buddy? Imagine not rushing to a thread where chili has hardly shown any interest all year? Where he has hardly shown his face let alone remembered to congratulate the Gators when they beat Tennessee the first time. Imagine that I might have other things going on in my life.

Nope, all violin can imagine is a world where there is no God, no property rights, and no wealth accumulation. Violin imagines a world where he and his socialist buddies control our thoughts and lives. But through the magic of rationalization he probably denies his own motivations. Imagine that.

I just feel so horrible when I can’t live up to a control freak’s expectations.

Methinks some folks made their brackets too early. This is almost exactly what the Gators did last year. Last year they went on a three-game losing streak before winning 11 straight games, the SEC championship, and the national crown.

After winning the SEC regular season championship the Gators seem to have gone to sleep. It will be harder to regain their focus this year. We’ve all seen that Florida is mediocre when they don’t focus and play together as a TEAM. It will be much more difficult for Florida to repeat this year because they’re not going to be able to gain motivation from being the underdog. I’ll be very interested in seeing if, and how, Billy D can get these guys motivated.

Florida may drop all the way to a #3 seed. Thank God there’s a playoff.

Arclite is gracious that I feel good today.

I am waiting to see Florida play Memphis. That's when we will put a friendly wager on it. Say a country ham against a case of oranges.

Chili, it would have been even more gracious of you to congratulate the Gators when they beat you in the first game, or when they won the SEC regular season championship, or when they beat Tennessee in football, or when they won the SEC game in Atlanta, or when they beat Ohio St., …

Although it’s swell to see that you can be gracious in victory, it would be sweller if you could be just as gracious in defeat.

Oh well, just as I feel about violin, I’ve never had very high expectations for you anyway.

Break it up, boys. The Kansas Jayhawks are just about to make your teams irrelevant, anyway.
Now, you know that I own property, that I have a picture of John Birch above my toilet, and that I abhor public property. So, with those credentials, I think I've earned the right to say:
ROCK

And, sorry that you have to cheer for the Shorthorns, Ped. :(

As much as it pains me, I'll stand with chili.

One of the reasons I left NJ was because all the women there have hairy armpits, mustaches, and say "yoose guys" all the time. All except for my mama that is.

Dang straight!

Everyone knew you were tellin' it wrong because unfortunate incidents with dead donkeys and latex are a "normal" way of life in NJ. Heck, NJ politicians engage in much sicker activities every day.

I decided to leave because you were such an ugly kid, I didn't have enough money to cover your medical bills after your moma dropped you on your head, and I couldn’t save her from her nasty crack addiction.

It’s a sordid story but, after you got dropped, I don’t wonder why you don’t remember it.

And no, you’re not in my will. You’d only spend it to add more rooms so you could make a soup kitchen for the homeless out of your house.

Clemson goes down and probably out of the tournment. Nova overcomes terrible first half, but falls as well to G-Town.

Both teams probably heading to NIT.

Next up, Mich St. needs to beat N.western to lock up an at large bid. It would be great to finally see the Big Ten get only3 teams in. For the past I don't know how many years 5 to 6 teams from this waste of a confrence get in. Usually 2 make it to the round of 8 and that is because they are overated and get low seeds.

While I would like to see the Hoosiers go far, I beleive the will get #&%!$-slapped in the first round, regardless of who they play. To be very honest, I don't think they should be getting an automatic bid at all. The field of teams this year seems stronger than in years past. Like last year, we should see someone upsetting teams that had high hopes.

Rumor has it she had inappropriate relations with a player. The dirt will come out soon. No Bearmagnet I do not have videotape!

The wheels are already spinning though. We are hoping that Kim Mulkey, a Louisiana native would be interested in leaving Baylor to take the head coaching job of the LSU Lady Tigers.

So, now that Bateaudriver is here, and chili has been here, do we get calls from Mr. Control Freak, violin, for congratulations from chili for the upset?

Heck no. What we get is another example of violin’s hypocritical double-standardism from the guy who wants to be his own God.

I’m surprised that violin even mentions the difference in relations between players and coaches and former players and coaches. If it feels good, do it, right? I’ll bet violin’s dog hides under the bed when he gets out of the shower.

Congratulations Bateaudriver. Since chili always finds something else to occupy his time rather than trying to be gracious when his teams get BEAT, someone should offer congratulations.

It should be an interesting playoff this year. Let the games continue.

If Memphis does anything good in the NCAA tournament, Chili has to do the Rock Chalk chant, wave the wheat, and bow down in the direction of Lawrence, Kansas. Why? Because everything Calipari knows about basketball he learned under Larry Brown at, you guessed it, KANSAS!

First of all #&%!$, some of us have a life other than running to the computer to log it to TT first thing in the morning.

Second of all it was a good win for a hungry LSU team. UT is the only school in the SEC to never make a SEC tourney final four since the league expanded. Didn't look for them to do it this year either.

Hey folks, I think we should play the TT Bracket game again this year.
Rate each of the 64 (or 65?) teams in order of strength. Each time a team wins, you receive the amount of points that you rated the winning team.
All entries due by Wednesday at 12 midnight, OK?

I just realized this morning that my boys, the Stanford Cardinal, will be playing the Louisville Cardinals. That oughtta be fun for the announcers.

And... the tip goes to the Cardinal, no, I mean the Cardinals. So the Cardinals bring it up the floor, and, what's this? The Cardinals, no, I mean the Cardinal, are playing a 2-3 zone. Here's a shot... good! The Cardinal, no, I mean the Cardinals, are up 2-zip. Here come the Cardinals, no, I mean the Cardinal, roaring back down the floor... here's a 3-pointer - good! Cardinals, no, I mean Cardinal, up 3-2.... etc......
