So far, UT is handling Mississipi State. With 4 minutes to go, it doesn't look like MSU can pull it off.

Rebuilding years suck. We just got our first road win of the year, which is of course the first road win for Billy G as Wildcats coach.

The Jayhawks are back to their winning ways. However, they looked a little bewildered at times in the first half. Second half was all Jayhawk basketball, though.
Congrats to Bowlderman. Stanford is playing some good ball.
Gators got spanked.
It's gonna be a wild tournament, again.

I can do that. I've never been able to pull for a top 5 time for more than a week or two at a time. We can only break into the elite ranks after big wins. These big wins are usually followed by stupid losses.

Check out the video. When you watch it in real time, you can hear that the whistle was blown after the clock should have expired. I'm just sick about this.

From what I understand, the clock is NOT manually operated, but it stops when a whistle is blown. It is restarted by a ref.

While there was clearly some human error, it appears to me that the whistle stopped the clock with .2 seconds. It WAS NOT stopped by anyone other than a ref. It appears this is the system used in both men's and women's basketball with the exception of the tournament.

I will say, however, if the shoe was on the other foot, I would be pissed too. Rutgers played a great game. I hope UT doesn't see them in a bracket as a two seed.

book it - Illinois went into Minny and took down the goofy gophers. Woo hoo! I bet the Illini are the best 11-14 team you have ever seen.

Now the only thing left to do is win the Big 10 tournament and start the trek to the national championship from a 15-seed.

I believe.

Hub,

I still support the Hoosiers, however I started paying more attention to Purdue this year. I did not go to college at IU, yet I have always put the Hoosiers higher than Purdue, the school I attended.

It is obvious that Kelvin screwed up though.

Did you watch the Illini-IU Game?

That's what Tennessee officials said chili, but Mike Constable, owner/inventor of the Precision Time System used called BS on that explanation. According to him, the ref's whistles are wirelessly connected to the time clock but the timekeeper also has the ability to stop and start the clock. http://www.nj.com/rutgers/ledger/index.ssf?/base/sports-0/1202880976300230.xml&coll=1

If the ref's whistle stopped the clock, why on Earth did it start again? Something went wrong and Tennessee athletic officials are playing games.

I don't want to take away from a great program. The Lady Vols have a legendary coach, the team is loaded with great talent and the program has already been where Rutgers is striving to get.

What happened at the close of that game flat out stinks. If all conferences were to upgrade their equipment, a repeat is less likely to happen: http://www.nj.com/rutgers/ledger/index.ssf?/base/sports-0/1202880997300230.xml&coll=1

I wanted to be a Kelvin Sampson fan. Always liked his Oklahoma teams. However, compound repeated cheating with repeated lying and I'm gonna have to say bye-bye, Kelvin. Good luck at Long Beach State.
