"imahiker.com"........."life is on the trail"......

Can I infer from that statement that "life" is not on the net????

j/k,,,,just don't order cotton shirts

Is there some reason why we would want to promote your site, instead of this one?

I missed something in the translation.

I'm not really trying to get people to promote my site. I have just had a lot of compliments on my logo and they like Imahiker.com as a name and I just thought it might be a good idea

I think Matt should start charging somebody for advertising space.

Do you actually think I make any money with my site, Hell no. Actually I have been dedicated to raising money for the Friends of the Smokies to help take care of the park I love. Last year I donated over $1,500 worth of prints to them to help out. I was planning to donante most of the proceeds for this shirt to them or some other organization as well, if I even do it. So I don't consider myself as "advertising". If he wants I won't post another thing he just has to let me know.

No sense in getting defensive.

My question was simple. If we were going to all buy a t-shirt.. something that is COMMON to all of us..

Why wouldn't we want something on this order?
TownDawg

That is pretty cool I would buy one

Exactly!!.. Matt, are you listening?

(Can we get them in wool or polypro please? None of us would be caught DEAD in cotton.... well, on second thought, that is EXACTLY how we would be found.)

Polypro. Wool itches.

I don't know about a Photopoint knockoff, but I'm sure I'd buy a nice Trail Talk T-shirt.

Who else?

I'm thinking cotton as I would most likely wear it around town - maybe a choice?

ya, cotton is ok.. but I would wear it on the trail if it was something other than cotton.

Just don't price it at $34.95, ok?

I'd buuy one, depending on the graphics, but I like the ideo of thebackpacker.com centered on the front in some cool font. Maybe orange lettering w/whit outline on an olive colored shirt?

Think of it as a business investment to promote your site.

:)

(and sell it at a SMALL markup.)
TownDawg

Matt, I will volunteer my time to locate a source for these if you decide to take this route. That should help keep the retail price more reasonable.

ya.. Violin's post (01:21:58 PM

The way I am? I would be giving them away on the trail.

Oh boy...
I just can't escape from t-shirts.
I spent 13 of my 30 years at the alter of the Cotton God.

I have massive sources for this kind of stuff. Heck I used to own a company that did this.

Polypro will be difficult to print, you also drive up the cost exponentially when you deviate from cotton and 50/50 blends. Iron ons and heat transfers will not last especially if y'all wear them a lot. The only route is direct print.

Roseymonster's suggestion would look sharp but would be a more expensive option due to the fact that it would be a 3 color (2 white screens and one orange) design on a dark substrate and that will require what is known as flashing (heat cure between colors) to ensure a clean print.
