Folk-Rock wimyn on Satyrday Mornin TV!!
There are four musicians who often play around my town who play both solo and as a group called voices on the verge. They are suddenly starting to get some major national exposure which is exciting, coz I've seen them all play in small coffee shops and bars in the neghborhood. I've met a couple of 'em (helped arrange a gig for one and gotten to know another), so its really exciting to see them get some coverage. Here is the info I got in my email:

VOICES ON THE VERGE LIVE ON CBS IN NYC.

VOICES ON THE VERGE (ROSE POLENZANI, JESS KLEIN, BETH AMSEL, ERIN MCKEOWN) will DEBUT on NATIONAL TELEVISION this SATURDAY Jan 12th on the CBS SATURDAY "EARLY SHOW".

The VOICES will play two songs as part of a weekly segment of the show called "Second Cup Cafe," as well as some extra tidbits of songs throughout the show.

The show airs in NYC from 9-11am. Check local listings as show times and local affiliates-will vary by market--many cities air it from 7-9am (start the coffee early). We've listed some of the air times below. Please wake up with us or set your VCRs. Tell your friends..be sure to remind them that YOU discovered Voices first.

I've heard them perform. They've been featured on a Saturday morning show out of Detroit called Saturday Morning Over Easy. Pretty good!

Thanks for the info.
