Roaches with feathers.
I went to Wal-Mart,
The parking lot was covered with seagulls-hundreds of them.
Had to honk the horn to keep from running them over...
We are hundreds of miles from the nearest ocean.
Any one else seeing weird stuff?

Just Venus over the mountains. Lady told the radio station there was a UFO.

How about caterpillars so thick they leave lime green colored gunk under your wheel wells.

Pathman! Gull at 2:00!
Seagulls actually fly 'way inland to breed, hatch chicks, etc. in the late winter/early Spring. Here in the west, they nest in the Sierra, Cascades and Rockies (remember the story about all the Seagulls that saved Salt Lake City from the Locusts?) With spring around the corner this is the time. Not sure where you live Pathman. I grew up on the coast in Calif. Even when there were gonna be storms in winter those guys would fly inland 20-100 miles to occupy golf courses, school football fields, etc. Then come right back after the weather cleared. A busy Wal-Mart parking lot, tho; I dunno. Maybe the store had a special on cases of Anchovies?

We used to get them in Fairbanks. 360 miles from the Gulf of Alaska.

How is the "Old Town" these days? Am I saying it correctly?

I had family at Crowne Point for a while, west of you near Gallup.

Sorry, I first responded to Path and it was YOUR thread, Josh ... Not sure of nesting/migratory patterns in the Southeast, but I'd wager it might have been even nastier at the time on the gulf or off the Georgia banks, and so the boids headed inland.

Yep, Old Town. It was hopping Christmas Eve with the Luminarias, everybody down their to see them, the biggest Christmas party I've ever seen.

Although not far from the ocean here, the gulls congregate in a nearby shopping center parking lot. Don't know their arrival time, but I see them frequently around 7 to 9 p.m. Riding my bicycle to another shopping center for some morning donuts, I usually give chase to them while going and returning. I try to discourage them because of all the droppings on the cars, mainly mine.

Yep, Christmas Eve was a nice cold night, a good one for a pinon fire, a bowl of posole and couple of tortillas.

No offense ogre-we do have some "big" water in our TVA lakes-and mild winters for the most part-maybe I caught a migratory pattern.
I don't know what their food source might be.

Imagine this: You come home and notice a light is on inside. You didn't think you left it on that morning, but you go ahead and open the door. When you do, there you are -- looking right at you, looking at you. What do you do? You can answer for either or both of you.

Nearest landfill is around 20 miles away-
Not even any restaurants near by-
They were still there 2 days later-

Joshman, you were in Cody and never stopped to say hi? I'm pissed.

j/k LMAO

We got seagulls at the Wal-Mart here too. I think they get them from 'Seagull Rentals' or something. And no, the land fill is about 15 miles away.

c) "Those Navy guys! They'll buy anything! I used to charge 'em 5 dollars to phuck a goat!" - Buddy Hackett

A vet who examined the goat said it was "subdued" by the assault but was not suffering long-term injury.

Lizs's paradoxical dream
Actually it reminds me of the old joke (has to be done with the appropriate accent):

"I've built 3 ships, but do they call me "Jonas the Ship builder?"
I've made many fine things of wood, tables, houses, cabinets... but do they call me "Jonas the cabinet maker?"
I've been making the finest beer in town for 13 years, and does anyone call me "Jonas the brewer?"

NO! They don't. But, I fvck one goat....
