after seeing it on another thread, i was curious as to what you think the best weather sites are. the two that i find to be most accurate are...

1. accuweather.com
2. weatherunderground.com

"weather.com" is ok, but i've seen 'current conditions' say sunny, and it will be raining all day.

"cnn.com" weather has the worst forecasts that i can imagine. i assume that it will be the opposite of what their forecast is.

from using accuweather id say thats the best of all.

worst is msnbc.com they'll say sun 100% and it would pore!

I agree, accuweather is the best. I sometimes use weatherbug if I want accurate current conditions. It uses real time reporting from local automated weather stations.

weatherbug is the best realtime here. weatherunderground I like for the maps, the forecasts and current conditions seem good. I also use it because of the easy copy and paste sticker for my homepage.

weatherunderground has one of the better snow cover maps, although a local snowmobile site has an even better one. Weather.com's snowcover map is #&%!$ty. The NOAA has really good wind/wave maps for shoreline hiking.

Pathman -

My father has weatherbug and I really liked it but I didn't like adding software to my machine. Have you noticed any bugs with weatherbug?

UMWeather has a ton of good weather links.

weatherbug buries you in a bunch of spam mail.

well, two weeks is too far for ANY good predictions, but one week is pretty accurate.

I've found any forecast past a few days to be too shaky. Maybe five days at the outmost, if there's a big system working its way down. But not a week or more.

TownDawg nailed the biggest downside of weatherbug. Spam.

I didn't put it on my work PC, against the rules. Have it at home. I like that my closest weatherstation is 100 yards from my house!

I also like accuweather.com and the NOAA website. Weatherbug is great also, but I haven't had any problems with spam.

I take my NOAA weather radio with me whenever I go out of town. Those things are great!!

This site has some great links to just about any type of weather info you could want. Other then those sites I recomend Weather Underground or weather tap (www.weathertap.com). Weather Tap is awsome, but it's by subscription only.

I didn't do it all, I started about 45 min north of Fort Wayne and drove the rest of the way to West Lafayette.
