P.O. vs. Free Guide

“Just got back from the P.O. after straightening out a "flagged and returned" wilderness guide envelope. Seems that machines rule the roost -- any "letter-size" envelope must -- MUST -- be able to pass through automatic sorting machines. The wilderness guide was too thick in this instance -- though it was the only one returned so far. I hope no one got a "postage due" charge if one made it all the way to its addressee rather than kicked back to me.

The solution, I was told, is to use a LARGER envelope, which will not be sent through the automatic letter sorters. The postage amount didn't change.

So all requests received to date have been sent, the latest in new 6X9 manila envelopes to appease the P.O., as will any that are in the stream.
