Some minor changes - and I want names.
Greetings Troups...

I'm posting this in public because there are some of you who do not get my e-mail updates.

I have small changes to announce on the status of the early shake-down llama hikes - the one to Iva Bell and the one to Virginia Lake.

Because there has been little interest in the June 7 -13 Iva Bell hot springs trip, I'm going to cancel it.

I still have to do an early shake down trip anyway, so if anyone has other ideas and wants to go hiking with me and a couple of the idiots on a practice trip, let me know.

The trip to Virginia Lake is still doing well.

Since I am canceling the hot springs trip, I would like to change the start date for the Virginia Lake hike to June 22.
The out date will remain the same - July 2.

The reason for the addition of a couple more days is to give us the chance to spend more time back there.
This will also allow us to actually stay two nights at Purple Lake, and then three or so at Virginia.

There are a few people who will be leaving early, but that circumstance won't affect those of us who stay - except that those who stay will have more of their gear carried out than was carried in!

And, we get to celebrate the Summer Solstice on June 21st for those who can get here the day before the hike.
We'll celebrate the Summer Solstice together.

My list of adventurers for the Virginia Lake trip is as follows:

Naviguesser
Kent
Didjfan
Roseymonster
Ms. Rosey Monster
Wanderer
Windwalker
Phil
Snow Nymph
Tekapo and - ?

I have this list and it would be helpful if I could get some kind of an idea who really plans to go on the Virginia trip.

Please drop me a line to confirm/ cancel.

I'd like to start a new page in my scheduling book with actual participants.

The same applies to the Llama Rama Caldera Car Camp/ Cottonwood Lakes Fishing combo (either/ or both), and the September Iva Bell hike.

It's time for everyone who's had me add their names to my book to consider serious commitment for the trip(s) they've mentioned.

It would help me a lot if I could also remove those names of folks who can't go at all.
I will be able to streamline my calendar some, and that will make my book work much less confusing.

So please drop me a line so I can clean up my act.

Thanks....

ROOOOOOO-sy!

The 22nd lets us stay at Virginia two more nights, and Purple a total of 3 nights - 2 in, and one out.

And Windwalker says he's out.

So where are the rest of you people who want in, or out?

I just got an email from mel and decided to bring this up. If you wanna do the llamarama EPIC trek to Duck and VA lakes June 22 thru July 2, you gots to let Melsy know NOW! This is gonna be one badass trip with plenty of hiking, fishing, kick around time, mountaineering, drinking rocket fuel, soaking up the unbeatable scenery, telling dirty jokes, sharing dirty smokes, black bear wrasslin' and generally having the time of our lives. Get on board the llamatrain!!!

I think I'll try to get a permit for June 22-23 and see if I can find the llama-rama group along the trail.

Shouldn't be too hard since we'll probably not leave the parking lot until noonish and then only a few miles to the first camp site.

Maybe I'll see yas there!

Hey,is white trash welcome?
I got the play-by-play audio of a load of dale earndhart(aka-the intimidator)victory races recorded on audio cassettes that would be really cool to listen to when the killer scenery, fishing and hiking get to be just plain damn boring-you know how that can be in the sierra of course.
Hey I'll even throw in a bunch of #3 badges so we can all sew em on our down bags.
Ill be the guy in the tank top with no front teeth.

Pathman-

Llama's actually spit a lot. Fire, I'm told. Wonder what that means from the other end.

The llamas poop in the same spot. There were 3-4 piles in their play area. I think the droppings are a little bigger than deer.

Well if wingding is going, then I'm gonna have to try and go too. ;)

Actually, have my permit and I don't really care where the group ends up. Probably beautiful everywhere you turn.
