I was driving my car and I went around the corner and the roads were slick. And I lost control and went into the ditch. And then I was upside down. The first thing I thought was I am upside down, and yet still alive. Im fine, my car is totaled.

Jeez, sounds scary! Glad you're okay though. Being upside down is better than inside out.

Adventuregirl - I've been upside down in a car or two myself. Scary stuff. Sobering, really.

But seriously, what kind of vehicle was it? And how did it hold up? Consumers need to know!

Glad you're okay! Be careful out there, folks!

Yup, 2 months ago I spun out.
First thing I thought was "I didn't hit anything and we're right side up"

Glad you're ok! The car can be replaced....

Was it ice or didja hydroplane? Either way glad you're OK! Another example why we should always were our seat belt.

Had a similar experience as a kid, when we were coming back from Tenn. we hydroplaned and spun over three times or more, but everyone was OK. And it happens so fast.

Glad to hear you're OK. Too bad about the car. Were you alone?

And, like Sass said, I hope this doesn't make it more difficult for you get out for dayhikes w/ us.

Another question? Was it that big white car you drove to Grayling?

My car a 1989 Oldsmobille Regency held up very well. The roof has a tiny dent, and the front bumper has a tiny bump too. The problem is since it was upside down there is some engine damage because of fluids being in the engine. I still have to have the insurance man look at it, but seeing as how I already had 150,000 miles on it, It is going to be a toss up weather it costs more to fix the car thatn it is worth.
And yes I now am carless. I cant even begin to think about how to get to hikes, when I am not even sure how I will get to school everyday.

Ouch!

Ten years ago I lost it in Vermont.
I landed on the roof with my '86 Jetta.

It took a few extra seconds to get the belt off and I rolled the window down/up and crawled out into the snow.

The roof caved in a few inches.
I must have scrunched down....I'm 6' 4" and no head knockin'!

You is lucky, Kiddo!
