Newfound Gap Road is Open!

“I called the backcountry office a little while ago and they said that Newfound Gap will be open later this afternoon. I'm a little worried because tomorrow at least in the lower elevations it is suppose to rain quite a bit. That's gonna suck getting drenched and then getting into higher elavation where is freezing cold. I'm gonna die”

“Yea it should be, at least I hope so because what is a trip up there in Janurary without alot of snow”

“I'm gonna be leaving Cincinnat around 7:00 pm tonight should get there around 1:00 am and then I will sleep in the back of my truck for a couple of hours”

“Should be one of the first up Alum Cave in quite a while since the road has been shut down”
