well this weekend did not go anywhere near what I expected it to go as but on the positive experience side of the ledger I now know what it will feel like to driver 1/3 of the way to Montana from Virginia. I may re-evaluate my plans for this summer as a result - 14 hours on the road in one day left me with a definate sore ass.

hummm - not a bad idea - I have the chair kit - stick the chair on the drivers seat - it might work if I can keep from hitting my head on the roof (6'2" in a small car)

Hmmmm, can't say that I've ever had that problem. I'm usually struggling to see over the steering wheel.

Casey doesnt live here anymore
it is just sinking in,,,i spent all day yesterday helping my son move into a house that he and two other of his friends are renting.......last night i kept reminding myself not to wait for the sound of his coming home really late..and feeling secure that he was safe and sound........
today...i went into work for an hour then home to take a load of stuff to his place, toilet paper, bucket, mop, broom , lysol and 409 ....when i got there, there were a few fellers out in their yard throwing around the football and they had everything all moved in and set up...down to the nekkid girl pictures in the laundry area and bathroom... ....he will be ok....sniff.....sniff....

the weather is absolutely gorgeous so, a friend swooped by and strapped me on the back of his kawasaki for a ride out to the river place i am trying to purchase....what an adventure...i must be nuts ,,,it was fun and the sunset reminded me of those "out west" ones....i pondered upon montanapaloosa while zooming on an iron horse clutching on to a florida cowboy/outlaw for dear life.....inches above the asphalt, hoping i would live to see montana..

tomorrow, its temple in da morning and a softball double header for a team called the Outlaws...heh.....

then monday, showing my house to some folks who want to buy it...and taking a float down the river with some friends..
.
whew....i feel better now....thanks for allowing me to ramble so....

poppinfresh............how do you roast a tomato on a pepsi can stove?....i am enjoying your recipes.....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~life is good for sure birch
secure tomato on fork put in flame and rotate tomato should be slightly chared and blistered on outside. peel of skin.
i dice and blend in blender with some sun dried roma tomatos add basil salt and pepper
strain in a wire strainer and keep mixing the pulp with water. this gets all the good stuff out and leaves the skin and seeds behind.
taste for seasoning and add salt pepper basil and garlic powder to taste add pepers(hot) if you like spice
dehydrate and break up in blender til powdered. bag.
rehydrate in hot water
makes the best sauce around
