I own a Cobra and in my opinion it is the same as the INYO with the exception of the color. My fly is a dark green and the Inyo is yellow along with my mesh being white, the inyo is yellow. Other than I think they are the same. If you want to read on the Cobra to get a feel what others think... Just do the search on Cobra here and you will see that everyone who owns one is pretty happy with it.... Light, roomy, veristile and most of all a good tent.

“I own the Exponent Inyo 2 and so far it has been OK. I haven't been through any foul weather yet, but I expect it to keep me dry.

It is a different color than the cobra and I understand the pole attachment at the ends is improved on the Exponent.

There have been some good deals on the Exponent on Globalmart website in the past.

How did you sleep that Saturday night with your bag wet - I forgot to ask as we were running for the parking lot.

I like the Inyo a lot, I have a Peak Aries that has been a good tent also. Make sure you take a look at the Sierra Designs Light Year CD. Weight is always a consideration, but I also like to have room for some gear - like my tarp/tent you saw at Sipsey. I would probably get a Inyo or SD if I needed another solo tent.
