I don't care much as long as it wasn't the Eagles or the Steelers. I do like Tom Brady being a U of M man but the Rams just have too many weapons.

I'm an Eagles fan. I really didn't think they could beat the Rams any way so I was happy to see that it was a Good Game.
I also consider the Rams as one of my favorite teams too so If anybody is going to knock them out of the Super Bowl it may as well be another team I like.

The Rams look hard to beat. I'd love to see the Pats win, but the whole thing reminds me of the Patriots trip to the Super Bowl in '86 against the Bears. The only thing the Pats did wrong in that game was score. Scorin' only made the 'em mad.

The Pats have depth at QB, special teams and a great over-acheiving attitude. The Rams seem to have nearly everything else. The gap is a lot to overcome, but I ain't given up home. With the spread, I'd take the Pats.

Oh yeah... the one hope the Pats have is if they can stuff the Rams run the way they did with The Steelers. Highly unlikely, but the Pats do have guts and if any team can make the needed adjustments against Faulk et al., the Pats can.

None of the teams I would have like to see in the Bowl will be there. I have a feeling this game will be a blow out like so many have been in the past. Have any of you notice how exciting Conference Championship games are when compared to the Superbowl that follows. The Rams just have too much depth and experience and I'll stretch with my prediction and say Rams by 17.

I like the reference to the L.A. Rams. Of course, everyone knows L.A. has never had a football team, only pretenders.

I'm glad the Traitors faded early in the playoffs.

Nothing ruins a Superbowl like having those low-life scumbags there (that includes raider fans as well as that mousy little mafioso al davis).

I have no love for Georgia after she snubbed all of us LA folk. However, I do like Kurt Warner. Marshall Faulk is something to watch...reminds me of Gale Sayers and Jim Brown ( I almost said OJ!). I used to hate the Patriots, now I am neutral toward them. I just hope I get to eat some good snacks during the game (e.g., Buffalo wings).

Tilt - Roman Gabriel was the last football coach at my university (Cal Poly Pomona) before they decided to eliminate the football program in 1983. Our team's greatest claim to fame was Seattle Seahawk Quarterback Jim Zorn. I worked with his dad and met him a couple of times.

Keep Drew Out
Been a Patsy's fan for 25 years. As long as they keep Drew out, I think they have a chance. Even Warner said, the Patsies were one of their toughest opponents this season.

Go Niners!
gordon, you speak the words of poetry to my ears when you describe the low-life scum that bellow for the Raiders.
Phil, as I see it, LA gave Georgia a healthy dose of disrespect in each of the years that she was there. She was smart to leave, because LA doesn't really want a team, anyway.

Dunadan:
The raiders are the only team in the NFL owned by an organized crime syndicate. The move to L.A. was the result of a gambling bet (high stakes poker game) placed in the back of the team jet while returning from a game. al davis lost that hand and had to move the team.

????????????????
Being from Maine, I'd love to see the Patriots. I think the Rams will take it, they have quite a team.

But enter Bill Belicheck. He brought discipline, which has been lacking since the Tuna left. The players were out partying at night and slacking off everywhere and every game. The coaches in between these two men did such a poor job that I can't even remember their names. Bill will have them ready to play this game, and Desmond Howard is nowhere to be found. Uh.... can you say Troy Brown? This could likely be a GAME!!!! I'd love to watch a nailbiter.

Go PATS
Its going to be fugly for New England but I am an AFC man now.
Used to be a die hard Skins fan but Tennessee has the TITANS so I have to root for the home team since I was raised there.
My predition is Rams 45
Pats 10
P.S. If the Rams lose its because they beat themselves. They are stacked with talent and I afraid they could beat the Pats with their practice squad.Know what I mean.

Rams secondary...
the Rams currently have several members of their L.A. secondary in prison, 2 I remember (I think Todd Lyght is in for running prostitution and hiring a hitman)... Green Bay's d held the Rams "weapons" to 10 points (of course their offense handed them 35). The Eagles held them decently... There is a mismatch with the Pat O-line, but Brady can get rid of the ball fast... The Pat defense might be able to slow Marshall down, hit Warner a couple times and force some bad throws... it's happened before. I really don't want the Rams to win!

PS. we didn't disrespect Georgia, she kept trying to run the team even though she was more concerned with changing the pronunciation of her name than creating a great football team when she was here

Georgia dissed the LA fans. Not that I followed it closely, but IMHO it was all about her. The Collesium Commission was not very bright, but why should one taxpayer dollar pay for her luxury private boxes?

Anaheim stadium was just fine and a lot of money was spent to modify it for football.

IMHO it was all ego and $$$.

I suspect that LA doesn't have a football team now because there is competition for the entertainment dollar and the NFL doesn't like that. They muscle cities into investing in stadiums so they don't have to. They need a monopoly to be able to overcharge for tickets, parking, and food and get away with it (e.g. I can buy an ANNUAL PASS to Disneyland, Knott's, or 6 Flags for the cost of taking my family to one football game...food is cheaper at the amusement parks also...if you can believe that).

Phil...
I think I love you! I agree with everything you are saying. I LOVE football, I've been a Colts fan since the Rams left. I kinda like being football free in LA... We get more games on TV, and most fans here just jump on the bandwagon of whoever is winning. I see more Rams fans now than I did when the Rams were here

As I said in an earlier post, I like Kurt Warner and hope he does well. I like Marshall Faulk also...what a duo!! I will watch the game, but I am more concerned over what snacks we have than who wins.

One of the top sports commentators in LA said on talk radio yesterday that the Rams "purposefully" had 5 consecutive bad seasons to kill attendance so that the NFL would let them move!.

The Collesium is not a comfortable spectator stadium, but Anaheim is nice (Sushi anyone?) and the Rose Bowl is available.

If they would just let Georgia suit up for one play at scrimmage...but that would mess up her hair.
