“TT has been faily beaten to death this winter. I can't even get excited about a poli/gun thread any more. I'm feeling like I need to crawl back in my hole until I see my shadow. Larry and Nigal hit the trail this coming weekend so maybe I'll pop back in and give a trip report. Hows "16 miles in 3 days" sound?”

“I miss a lot of the regulars who were here when I started. I think Mel has trouble getting the page to load fast enough to have any fun. If you look at the first 50 or so people on the photo page, you don't see that many still posting regularly. Hobbit has jumped in lately, but I haven't seen Lipstickhiker for a long time. Meerkat and Nomad probably lurk about...I miss them on the threads. Freedom still posts when she can, but not as much as she used to. Dunk lurks about. He is extremely knowledgeable about Northern CA. Haven't seen Strider that much lately either.

those were the good old days lee. I never enjoyed debating with someone I disagreed with more than Nature Kid. He was a bit imature but he was very smart and he always made me think. Both him and Ground 0. Yeah, that was my brother. He likes his gunz alright...almost as much as debating them.”

“I guess the phrase "old timer" is relative. However, I would like to hear from Freedom, Mel, and a few others just to know they're still kicking.

Just don't enjoy arguing over whether or not to take a dog/gun/down/synthetic __________fill in the blank hiking with you anymore. I've got my likes/dislikes, and I'm sure most folks have theirs. I've become a "live and let live" kinda guy I guess. I do still keep an eye on the threads though, and I do jump in occasionally when I get an inkling.”
