What next?

Just to inform you I spend quite a bit of time on THIS website, a lot more than I spend on my own website. My website is just a personal website in which I have no desire to make any money with it. Matt has posted my trip reports on THIS site because I sent it to him to publish. So I feel that by asking what people think about my personal website I am not doing any harm to THIS website. If your not interested in giving me some advise or suggestions stay out of my post it is quite simple really. No one is forcing you to read my shameless self-promotion section!”

How about pictures of western Kansas on your site? Kinda cleanse the hikers palate, if you know what I mean.”

“How about a section for all the trails within, let's say, a 400-mile driving radius from the closest city you live by, or even the town you live in. Or in every trail less than 100-miles drive, and those within 101-200 miles, 201-300 miles, 301-400 miles and so on. Not just for anyone else to use, but for yourself to collect info on nearby trails you haven't but will someday hike.”

Having said that, you do have a nice site and I personally have no problems seeing some other hiking web sites posted on this forum. It's not like your spamming after all. Kleetn is just being a dick. Then again, what do I know?

Create a section for newbies - newbies to hiking - and give tips of how/what they need to get started in hiking, trail manners, and stuff like that.

I'd love to see a chat room created on a popular site like this one. Have like a weekly time where everyone tries to get in there and chat for a few hours.”

My site is actually a personal site. My free email is a program that I got setup for free through Everyone.net. So that doesn't cost me any money. I like your ideas especially about the chat room. I'm looking at some software right now. I just don't want people to think I'm trying to spam anyone. Imahiker.com is a personal site where I make NO money I just like giving to the hiking community. Everyone thanks for the comments and suggestions I appreciate them.”
