Of course, the sure-fire way is inform the owners of the website (I almost typed websty, hmmmm) that you will no longer visit their site if they don't pull the scrolling ads. Especially on the low-traffic sites.”

“Right click on Internet explorer.
Left click properties.
Select the Security tab.
Select Custom Level.
scroll down until you see:

Scripting
Active Scripting
O Disable
O Enable
O prompt

Select Enable
Select OK

If you turn this on or off while already at a web site, simply refresh the page to activate the change. This will take care of any unwanted pop up screens like the Casino on Net Car.”
