Do you know........
.....that you can get rid of all those annoying ads if you disable your browser's active scripting?

As long as they dont FORCE themselves on me.. (meaning they open and don't minimize) it doesn't bother me. I just let them hang out, and dont bother to read/close/etc.

I heard some advertisers were going to start using a scrolling ad that goes right across the center of the screen every so often and ya can't get rid of it.

I downloaded a pop-up stopper. (Thank you, chili36!)

scrolling ads
nigal...they would love for you to believe that, but someone will find a way to disable them, trust me...

Of course, the sure-fire way is inform the owners of the website (I almost typed websty, hmmmm) that you will no longer visit their site if they don't pull the scrolling ads. Especially on the low-traffic sites.

Crazy Mike
Right click on Internet explorer.
Left click properties.
Select the Security tab.
Select Custom Level.
scroll down until you see:

Scripting
Active Scripting
O Disable
O Enable
O prompt

Select Enable
Select OK

If you turn this on or off while already at a web site, simply refresh the page to activate the change. This will take care of any unwanted pop up screens like the Casino on Net Car.
