(I don't even know if THAT is right either!)

anyways.. for all you MONTANA peoples.. I heard yesterday on the radio that back about 115 yrs ago in Montana.. they witnessed for s hort period (thank goodness!) snowflakes that were 15 inches in diameter and 8 inches thick!

Supposedly? TRUE. Anyone got any confirmation of this? Any old TT'ers in here who might have been around? *smirk*.. Seriously.. you Montana peoples.. have you heard of this one?

Hell that's nothing, we had 22 inch snowflakes (in diameter, 13 inches thick) when it snowed down here along the Gulf Coast about 10 years ago. All the tropical moisture, you know. Big puffy flakes like cotton candy.

Or they were seeing the clumps fall off the trees.

Maybe it was Big Bird flying overhead.

But that'll be cool...seeing snowflakes that were 15 inches in diameter and 8 inches thick!

My sister in St. Louis picked up some hail the size of a softball, a few years back. There were a lot of property damage.
