I always go and camp out with a group of friends and we have a good time - been doing it for close to 20 yrs. Some of my friends bring their wifes, girlfriends, come solo, etc. Anyone is welcome.”

“MDS, I might be interested. Our company just signed a stategic partnership with Home Depot and my collegue down the hall tells me he can get tickets for the April race. I haven't been in a couple of years but would like going back. Do you camp in crazy flats or behind turn 1?”

“I love Tallerdager! The only problem is that, while I can get enough time off from work to go to the actual race (roughly 3 days), I can't get enough time off from work to make it out of the parking lot (roughly 7 days)!!!”

“We've been camping in the area across the highway from the speedway for the last two years. Things have changed a lot if you haven't been there in a while. They keep adding seats, so they keep taking the camping areas and turning them into parking lots. That pushes the campers farther and farther from the track.”

“I'll tell ya what man, them Cup fans are the greatest folks you could ever be crammed in with. I've met nice folks over every part of the country but they aren't southern nice like down there. I've been to a lot of races and I've only seen one guy who was excessively drunk, everyone is nice, and I've NEVER seen a fight. Even people who root for opossing drivers get along and jab each other during the race. It's not the white trash convention they are made out to be (mostly by us Yanks).”

“nigal, lots of folks stay Sunday night and leave Monday morning. Traffic use to be a lot worse. Last October, we ate supper after the race, packed up our gear, and was on the road by 8pm. That's the earliest I've ever gotten out of that dang place - I was impressed. In the old days, you couldn't even get out of the parking lot until dark if you were lucky.
Also, it's not nearly as rowdy as it use to be. About 3-4 yrs ago things started getting quieter around there. The boogie men patrol a lot more now and keep the noise level down.
Last October in the span of about 15 minutes I saw the following:

1. A drunk got into someones car and fell asleep. The police came and dragged him out and left him laying on the ground.
2. A lady got arrested for exposure. She didn't have much to expose in my opinion.
3. Two friends were drunk and got into a fight over who got the last beer out of the cooler.

No, I didn't know any of these people.”
