Used gear on the internet?

Ebay is okay, but they now have hiking gear listed with the massive of camping crap. Prices are sometimes okay, but I've been burned there with some really dirty (filthy) stuff. I've checked out Gear Exchange, but found it to be almost a waste of time since most of the stuff there is sold by retailers and is overpriced.

There is another thread about TT having a gear trade forum--sounds cool. I need some stuff, but will have to wait a bit in light of my afore-mentioned "donation".”
