He came to speak at Purdue today and I managed to get tickets. I have to say that hearing him speak is a treat. He has an extrodinary sense of humor and really knows how to work in serious subject matter without making the speach dull. It was a good time.

Bob Dole, from Russell, Kansas. Almost died in WW11 of kidney failure. A consevative who doesn't put much store in the "trickle down" theory. He used to be one wicked campaigner.

Yes, he wasn't above using all of the nasty tactics. After he was re-elected against Dr. Bill Roy, he actually apologized to the people of Kansas for his campaign.
