After listening to everyone complaining about the new changes, I decided to help some people out. So I have made it possible to browse all the old threads by date. Just go to the archive page, there are links on the main TT page, and select the date you want to see. Presto! You can view the old messages. The archive only does back for about a year and a half.

Living in the past
So if one of these history buffs decide to post on an old thread, does it bring the thing back to the TT Main page?

I think I will go back and revisit all of Solitary Hiker's insanity!

Yes, if you post on an old thread, it brings it back into the active list.

A year and a half in the archives hardly constitutes being called old threads.

Thanks - now the newbies can see that the oldsters have bad memories when they say things were so much better in the good old days.

But why does the archive go back to 1999 and when you search it only goes back about a year and a half? I have been trying to find the posting about "why bras are like men" and can't find it with a search for "bra". I guess that word wasn't included in the title, but I think it was. Anyway, I can't believe that the first thread with bra in the title was sept 00!

I think it went something like this...
Men are like bras, because they support women.

Thanks Matt
I wasn't finding a thread from last fall because I couldn't remember the title, just the subject matter. As we all know around here the two aren't necessarily consistent or even related in any way. This should help out a bunch.

Matt Question
Did you delete all those old threads from back in early '99? I just wanted to read some of the old SnakeBoy stuff -- who was only around for less than 24 hrs (under that name), but caused all sorts of havock.

Because of storage space limitation at my old web host, I had to delete the older inactive threads a while back.
