All this car talk has me longig for my 79 olds. It had a 350 rocket with a 4bbl carb...not quick off the line but once you got that 3700lb beast rolling it was faaaassssst. I took it for a cruise when I first got it.Sailed down a nice back road at 100mph smooth as silk!

I'm checkin' it out, mutt.

Hey Arclite, my brother had a '70 Goat. 455, Ram Air, tach on the hood... He'd drive up and the loose panes in the living room windows would rattle.

I loved that goat, Tilt. Talk about awesome power. I didn't have a Judge with the 455, but my dad, who liked fast cars, was still afraid to drive it. 400, Hurst 4-speed, Carter four barrel, it was gold with black vinyl top and black interior. I jacked it up, put 60's on the rear, ran my tail pipes out the side right in front of the the rear wheels (illegal as hell), with Thrush exhaust. I used to race it out on Rt-17, and Rt-208 in NJ. Didn't ever get beat. I had it up to 140 on Rt-17 one night and still had plenty of pedal. That was truly crazy. The speedometer went up to 160. It was a sweet ride.

But talk about your babe magnets, nothing I've ever had beat that candy-apple-red Fiat Spyder convertable. Man, that was a lot of fun, and it handled like a go-cart. Goooooood times.

I notice the thread is topheavy with American cars. I prefer Japanese and Honda in particular.

My favorite: My current Honda Prelude. Bulletproof reliability and seamless performance. However it's getting up in years and I'm gonna replace it. Probably with an Accord. Love those Hondas.

Never had a truck.

I like my Prelude too, steve. It's my commuting car but it's not as fun as the Benz.
