“I was within probably 5 miles of Mount Sunflower, but SAD TO SAY, GAVE UP THE TREK. The thick air became too much for my lungs!! Ditto the high point in Nebraska. I made it as far as Pine Bluff, which straddles the Wyoming/Nebraska land. But I was scared of a "brown-out!!!" I have no appropriate glasses to deal with a brown-out!! I've heard they're very expensive.

And... the always oppressive, horrifyingly thick air.
