Congratulations! Try not to ingest too much pesticide... *G*

(hey! I worked in a store once that sold garden supplies. Nobody 'hung around' on the aisle with the chemicals and junk...)

Put 10% of each check the bank and make a habit of it. Oh yeah, don't spend what you put in the bank, save it.

Good for you.

Speaking of finding a job.

Remember when Architect meant you built something with 2 x 4's? And being a Field Engineer meant you actually did something outside?

POOP- I suggest getting into computers when your bored with the whole botany thing. Unless you bond with a zecasia or something

Hey poppinfresh, now that you are a wage earner and no longer a minor, you going to cough up room and board or get your own place?

he's only around till boot camp..that was probably a big issue in him having a hard time finding a job..noone wants to train someone that's gonna leave soon and have to fill this spot again in a few months...stay at home...make some waves (like start hanging out nakid at the breakfast table)...and here is one serious thing i give you ( i know i rag you alot)..i just got my first REAL job...Use this chump job to have fun on...go on dates, buy cds, save very little of it..but don't try to outfit yourself with this lil bit of money..a minimium wage job at the nursery for 4 months won't do you much...you'll just end up having to do it again later..and you won't find much time to use it once you start your REAL JOB..you'll be too busy trying to stay organized, sleep, and be with friends. Once your in the swing of things THEN go for it. Pace yourself..wait till you are making the good dough to get your stuff...it's what i did..blew my high school and college jobs money on lil things during that time...using this real job to get comfortable and get nice things and save for BIGGER nice things.

Which Capitol Nursery (I'll have to go to the others (JUST KIDDING!!!)). That seems like it would be a cool place to work. Congrats. But I don't suppose you will be able to do a lot of TTing while at work like us more responsible people!

Congratulations Poppinfresh on your job.

I looked at your wish list...there's a lot of stuff that you don't need for your first few BPking trips.

Use a thick plastic sheet for a tent footprint...some TT'ers suggested using Tyvek (sp.).

Use a poncho as rain gear...some people swear by them.

I use an orange garbage bag (the ones used for lawn work (useful if you need to signal someone)) as my pack cover.

Buy some used ski poles for trekking poles...unless you need the telescopic types.
