Joy/Birch: Got some quail?

“Hey, I'm looking to get some pet button quail for my dad. I know you were raising some quail and I thought I'd ask what kind you had and whether you might like to part with some. Anyway, I'll see you later.”

“RL, we had courtnix(sp?). Had being the operative word. There are alot of quail raising web sites you could check out for where to find button quail. I'm sorry I can't tell ya any of their names, got wiped out of our favorites when we switched internet providers. Birch just typed in quail and did a search. There were bunches of sites.”

My siblings and I got him some cockatiels for Christmas, so he built a gigantic aviary and started filling it. He's introducing some canaries currently and got some fish for a little pond/fountain he built for the ground level. Now, he wants some quail. Button quail are cool.

So, I guess I'll keep looking.”

“That sounds really neat RL. Hope the birds don't dodo in the pond. My mom has goulian finches(sp?) and a parakeet also had a canary. The canary was great, sang all day and was named Pompi after my great grandfather who was a coal miner. The finches actually had four babies this year. Abby's second word was birdy.”
